I have a k-6 license, but looking to get onto SPED and I had a Elementary SPED resource teaching job interview today. I felt it went really well, I answered most of the questions really well, considering I do not have a SPED license. I just worry that they won't hire me since I do not have a SPED license.

As I am writing this, I receive a phone call from the same district asking if I could come in and interview for a Paraprofessional/teacher aide position for SPED...

Now I worry that they wouldn't have called me for that position if they were planning on hiring me for the job I interviewed for today.

So I go in to the paraprofessional interview and there are 3 women, 2 of them interviewed me for the Elementary Teaching position yesterday so they already knew me.

Was really weird answering the same questions I just answered the day before.

No, I wouldn't assume that. It seems like good news to me--they liked you well enough to consider you for multiple openings. And they have a need somewhere else.

If you're not interested in a para role, you can decline; that's up to you. But I would not assume this hiring team necessarily even knows anything about the other.

Good luck.
