Please do not stop updating your operating system. Apple is a very secure operating system but its not 100% perfect and has flaws. Every update pushes out fixes for those flaws and provides you with additional security including protection from hackers and spyware. Not updating can have dire consequences, Just sayin..

I was finally forced to update my iPhone 5. Surprise, surprise, the battery is draining like water through a sieve.

i did try shutting off and back on.

(in fact, once it refused to shut off!)

i finally got facebook back this morning. yesterday i would try to go past the first post and it would close.

i did check to see if there was a new update--since i read that somewhere---it just wants me to put fingerprint and password and i refuse to do that (so someone else can man my phone in an "emergency")

i just now logged into one of the apps that i use on a constant basis and it didn't go poof, so maybe things are getting fixed slowly? shrugs.

thanks for your ideas!

Check to see if you have another update to install. I recently updated and then noticed yet another update in a few days. I updated it again. Sometimes the second update fixes bugs that the previous update implanted. I know, I know, crazy, but ya gotta play the game.

I’m guessing you updated the iOS (the operating system). Go to the App Store and update your apps. Then shut down the phone and restart it. Good luck!

This may sound silly and I apologize if you already did this but did you try restarting your phone? This has become my go to and has worked for many things

I'm no help, but I'll share my husband's issues with you so you won't be miserable alone . He is a supervisor and is responsible for all of his work passwords. (there are at least a dozen different sites that require different types of passwords) He had saved all of these passwords in the "notes" section of his Iphone. He DID NOT save them in the "cloud" as he should have. He updated his phone last week, and all of his saved notes are gone!

My phone update was fine. After the iPad update a few things were a bit wonky, but a restart solved all (I hope). So frustrating for you, good luck.

ever since DS "forced" me to update my iphone, my apps have been shutting moments after opening, i can't attach photos in text, all sorts of stupid stuff.

i glanced at some google searches and actually opened up one article on "common" problems...but i wasn't having any of those problems---and didn't even understand those things!

please don't make me go to the apple store...i've been there TWICE in the last couple months (2 more times than i've ever wanted)--not my choice to own an iphone (again, a "gift" from DS) (i now know---don't ever update)

anyone have the same issues and find a fix? thanks!!
