I know --- gold and gold!
So glad your school watched the game.
With SMARTBoards I hope everyone across Canada was watching.

This is my first retired Olympics but I remember taking my grade 1's from the portable into the school to watch the figure skating in 1992. Kurt Browning and Elvis Stojko.
I hope they remember it too.
We only had one TV for 6 gr 1 classes. How times have changed.

How thrilling for us--Women's and Men's curling, Women's and Men's Hockey. What a great game this morning.

We had a snow day on Thursday, so I spent the day switching between women's curling, hockey and figure skating! We got up early to watch the men's game today - GOLD!!!

I'm watching Mens Curling right now.
Wish I understood the game better.
The focus and skill is amazing.

I tried to watch the game in my class but couldn't get the internet to work--so much for "Bring your own device".... We heard a huge cheer and I said, "I think the Canadian women won the gold medal hockey game." Seconds later, the Prince gave an announcement about the game. Thrilling!

And now for Sunday's game. Go Canada Go!

I'm sure they will remember. I often think back to '72 and sitting in the dark, on the school stage, with over 100 other kids, watching Canada battle Russia. Thank you Mr Milan, Mr Olsen, and Mr Letal. You shared your love for the game and created a special memory.

Yahooooooo!!! What an exciting end to the women's hockey. OMG. We were watching the game at school and I think the roof blew off when Canada scored in sudden death! We had a hard time focusing this afternoon but no one really cared.

Beside having to spend over $1000 to have the motor replaced in my furnace this morning (which decided to quit about 4:30 a.m. and you can't survive the winter in Canada without a functioning furnace ), it has been a great day so far ~~ a gold for woman's curling and now a gold for women's hockey.
