I just found out that I have a second round interview and have to teach a demo lesson. Iím struggling with where to go with the requirements....Can I use an article, excerpt, short story, or should it be an actual book?

You may select any piece of literature relevant to the theme of "Growth and Change." The essential question for the lesson is: How do historical events and figures shape literature? The enduring understandings for the lesson should address: How author's diction shapes purpose and tone. Please select one reading strategy to implement within the lesson.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
