I thought you weren't supposed to take Prozac when pregnant. Am I wrong?

Prozac is not supposed to be taken during pregnancy. It doesn't make sense that it was prescribed by your doctor.
I think I'd be finding a new doctor.
I don't know about that. I did e-mail her through the drs portal about it and she said she'd be sending me information on it to read and that if I felt more comfortable with zoloft that she'd prescribe that.

She also insisted that treatment is essential. I don't know.

Ask your husband to write the reply.

. Block your MIL's email! No matter what don't even take a peek. She is out of your life until she proves to your DH that she can behave.

Call a therapist and make an appointment as soon as possible. You deserve individual care and concern... for you and the baby yet to be born. I think it's difficult to remain emotionally stable when you're pregnant and soon to deliver.

Stay away from the negtive people in your life.

Of course the doctor knows more than I do, but I err on the side of caution. When I googled it, Prozac is not recommended in pregnancy.

SpeedLimit62 09-27-2017 05:28 PM

Maybe? According to dr. it is okay at this point in pregnancy and the way I'm feeling isn't good for baby either. I actually haven't even picked it up yet. Maybe I should be more worried about it than I was.

I looked it up.. https://www.babycenter.ca/x2343/is-i...ring-pregnancy

I had an issue with lexapro.. I don't know about the others that the article mentions at 'first line'. I don't know if that is why she recommended prozac. Perhaps I'll e-mail for clarification before taking it.

Thanks for putting the thought in my mind.

I went to the dr yesterday and she scared me (with test bad test results). I came home and since have barely wanted to get out of bed. I did go to work but then came home today and went back into bed. My mom is here.. has been since she found out what happened at the doctor.

My husband actually went to bed with me yesterday because I was so upset and he wanted to comfort me.. I need to pull myself out of this.. but I am scared, upset and overwhelmed.

My dr. gave me prozac.

My MIL sent me a rude e-mail and it's taking everything in me not to fire back.

Venting!
