You shouldn't feel like a loser at all. Every position is not for everyone, there are plenty of teaching jobs I wouldn't want to do either.

It annoys me when principals won't let teachers move. We end up losing good teachers because they move districts instead of being allowed to go where they feel successful. I get there are hard to fill positions. It does no one good to essentially hold a teacher hostage in it if they don't want to be there.

Good luck with your next step!

Dear conquered,
You hold your head up high.
A position will present itself.
Best wishes.

Dear not conquered,
Self care and family take precedence over all else in my opinion.
I offer this suggestion to have a heart to heart and look for other options.
You are making the best decision for your circumstances and not waiting until you are so worn out.
Best wishes

I left kindergarten after one year because I couldn't deal with it. Not every job is right for every teacher - I don't know why principals can't see that. I'm sorry yours is such a pain. I hope you find something that will be a better fit.

Iím finding any means, possibilities, avenues, paths to get out of sped next year. I told my P on Friday that I would like to move back to gen ed, and she told me they wouldnít move me unless they could find a replacement. She said itís unlikely that will happen because my current position was posted for two months, and they didnít get a single applicant. The hubs and I are getting ready to sit down and think of options. I feel like a loser for throwing in the towel after one year, but lifeís too short.
