watch a video about people around the world. I am not sure if they have them for that grade level or not. You can have them draw a picture of their favorite part when the video is done.
Discovery School Education site might be a good source.

you could set up a youtube video that the kids could watch or you could set up a craft after a read aloud

You can try some sort of homemade file folder games or some kind of sorts.

I know kindergarten social studies for like land and water. They can sort pictures of different land and water. Cut pictures out of magazines of land and water or draw mini books of land water.

Maybe art projects from different countries? DLTK has all kinds of maps to color, too. And you could definitely do a listening center with music from around the world. Maybe a match game with animals and where they come from - kind of combines science and geography.

Hello all, I am working on trying to expand my centers. I have plenty of language arts and math and I am working on science but I would really like to have some social studies one. I have looked online but so far not much luck. Any sugestions? I am really interested in some multicultural ones since I do an around the world unit all year with my kids and would love some centers that go with it. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.
