It's been a couple of years since I had a classroom thief, but apparently I do this year. At first I thought I must have not realized how many class treats I had left. Today, I definitely am missing some! I realized it after school let it out. GRRRR!

The one school I worked at had a food thief who would steal all or part of someone's lunch.

It stopped after someone put mustard inside donuts and left these in their lunch tote.

I'm sorry you'e dealing with this. When I had this problem I used to lock my closet when I was in the classroom and lock my classroom door whenever we weren't there.

UGH we have all had those-sometimes they will steal anything that isnt nailed down. Once year someone stole all the staplers

Thatís my least favorite thing to deal with. You have my sympathies.

I had 3 thieves last year. I would try to make sure you don't leave things out that you don't want taken. Also, minimize time the thieves are alone. Be careful at recess time, too. I know one of mine would ask to go to the bathroom and lunch recess and end up stealing things from classrooms and lockers. I kept telling the office not to let her leave or to have her and someone else both go to the bathroom, but they didn't listen.
