I had a school that doesn't want to use it because of the suggestive adult content of characters lying with each other etc.
I was wondering if there may be a comparable text to Midsummer ND?

I’ve taught it for as long as it has been available and I’ve had only one class where anyone picked up on the suggestion of “lying with” others. I do tend to have a more sheltered population of students, but the CKLA abridged version is pretty tame.

I do and the Midsummer unit is the only one I really like. I don't use it "with fidelity" though. I change things up a little but use the reader and lots of the activities.

What problems are you having?

I was wondering if anyone teaching the CKLA series has had an issue with MidSummer's Night Dream unit? I'm a literacy coach and I'm trying to find an alternative text to use for this unit. I'm just wondering if someone already has!
