Today I tried something new with the Boomwhackers that worked quite well. Step 1: Find a song you like on youtube and copy the address from the window at the top. Step 2) Go to chordify.net (Awesome website) where you will paste the address the address into the appropriate window. Then click on chordify. Step 3) Like magic - the website plays your youtube video in a small window at the top of the screen and in the bottom half you will see a small black square moving along throught the chords you play to accompany the youtube song. I put this on the smarboard so all can see and start by handing out the bottom note of the chord C etc.. The kids play a rhythm on their tube til the next chords comes along. I used it today with "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. I specified I wanted it in the key of C to keep things simple. Of course, you can build the chords if you have enough boomwhackers. Good luck!
