Graduation Invites / Gifts?

So, as a teacher, what do you do give for students that send you a graduation invitation? This year I have many, and would go broke!!!

Thanks!

Card

I'd send a card congratulating them with a child specific memory if you have one. I wouldn't put anything in it.

Graduation

I like the idea of a card with a personal note. If you CAN spare a little money, include a $5 gift card to one or two fast food restaurants for "late night munchie runs." When my son graduated two years ago, we received several invites from his friends. I couldn't afford to give each one a lot, but I did include three $5 gifts cards to various fast food places that they could use when they went to college. It was very well received!

i have always

sent $10 to a bookstore.

(only happened 3x in 24 years)

if that would break your bank and you don't have a "usual"....a $5 card to Starbucks would be nice.

I have had the same concern and have been wondering too. I think all of the above are excellent ideas!
