Left-over laminating film
How do you use your left-over laminating film? (By left-over, I mean the larger pieces on the sides or when you start/end it.) I use mine for overlays on maps and learning center worksheets. What are your ideas on how to use it?

Sometimes if I have leftover film with paper between, I will cut into strips and make them available for students who wish to use as a bookmark / tracking guide while reading.

Laminating film
I use it in reading groups. I have the kids put it over pages and circle sight words, words with a certain patterns, etc. They think it's great that they get to "write" in a book!

Great ideas
I have always just thrown it away. Great ideas here! Our art teacher used it for something recently. Don't know what though???

I cover my passes with it. It makes the passes more durable, and for the written ones I can simply erase and write again.

I've cut them into 4X6 rectangles, given my students permanent markers to draw pictures on them, then I framed them with construction paper. They make pretty sun catchers and cheap gifts (mother's day, Christmas, etc.).

Laminating film
I also use mine with my overhead projector. I use it to trace a picture that I want to enlarge. After I have traced the enlarged picture, I put this in the folder that goes with that subject/story/theme. (After reading "One Good Dog," I traced the dog from the cover, enlarged it and used it for a hallway decoration to go with the stories my students had written. I put my original picture that I had traced on laminating film in with my teaching materials for that story.)

lamination film
At our school we keep extra consturction paper by the laminator. We feed two sheets through so our job will come out the back. The constructionpaper stays in until the next job needs to be done. The laminated paper is available to teachers as book covers for classroom books. We use it all the time. We also use it in our die cut to cut out shapes or letters needed, Waste not - want not.

Christmas Decorations
I use them for the 'circle' that goes around the top of the Christmas tree to hold a cardboard Angel on...

So the kids cut out/colour a flat cardboard angel, and the clear film is looped around and stapled at the back... if that makes sense... kind of like the size of a napkin ring...

Leftover lamination
Frequently, we use the leftover lamination to make clear pouches using the Envelope-Open End die. Our patrons use double-sided sticky tape to seal the edges. It's great to hold small items.
We've used the lamination to make snowflakes, icicles, and fishbowls.
The kids have make wallets and use Velcro to close the flap.
We'll use lamination to protect our bulletin board pieces during storage.

Emergency Umbrella
With a couple of small pieces of tape, that end strip will protect your hair as you dash for your car.LOL
