I started with a side-fold card from MFT Whip Cream cardstock. The diamond patterned paper is from 7 Gypsies Venice 6x6 paper pad. I ran a piece of brown Core'dinations Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection 6x6 in the Darice Steam Punk embossing folder. I sanded the embossed cardstock with a nail buffer to expose the Kraft layer. Rectangles (except the diamond piece) were cut with dies from MFT Rectangle STAX set 1 and set 2. Outside sentiment is from Technique Tuesday God Is Good stamp set. Inside sentiment, Face today with total confidence, is from Simon Says Stamp You Got This stamp set. I added 3 matte brown sequins.

So, am I understanding this correctly— the dark brown design under the diamond layer is something you embossed yourself? It didn’t come that way? The card is beautiful! (as always ;))

Yes. Most Core'dination cardstocks (that I have) are a combination of two colors. There is the top layer (in this case brown for the card/dark green for this sample) and a core color (in this case kraft). If I turned this piece over, it is all kraft. Some Core'dination cardstock that I have has black as the core/base color. I have quite a bit so I should use this more. I couldn't find the scrap I had left from the brown so I took a scrap from the same pad in dark green and did a sample.

That is so cool! If I wasn’t so totally immersed in my sewing I could see exploring card making ;). I appreciate learning tidbits of the process from you!

So unique! I love what you do with the cards. So pretty and creative!
