Is anyone familiar with getting paid to review books online

I signed up with a site called forums.onlinebookclub.org. They pay you to read books and post reviews online. I thought it might be a nice way to make a little side money even if it is not a lot. I used to read all the time and have not been doing much of that lately. Plus as a former journalist, I think I may be able to write some good concise reviews.

Has anyone heard of this or know anyone who has done it?

I haven't done it, but will keep an eye on this thread. I've known about it, but I wonder if the pay is really worth all you have to do. Seemed low-paying to me, but hey, if you love reading, then it's fun work.

Get paid in free books

I don't know if they let you keep the books you review. I do NetGalley- free e-books, which I get to keep. It's great for getting classroom books. Some of my most popular read alouds came from NetGalley.

I hadn't heard of it but found this review: https://www.traceymadeley.com/online...nuine-or-scam/.
I'm too fussy about the nature of what I read to want to do something like it so it wouldn't work for me. It doesn't sound easy to make any money at all.
