FUNdations Intervention

I am a kinder RtI teacher. Is anyone using FUNdations? Are you using Fundations for intervention only? I'm trying to find someone who can tell me how their school actually uses the amount of time versus the 40-60 minutes recommended for intervention. 5 hours a week is not a long time to consider that a Tier 2 intervention.

Thanks!

Mine does

We use fundations K-2 and also as a Tier 2 Intervention. The teachers that use it as a T2, only have 30 minutes. They get through all the components. IT has done wonders for our DIBELS scores.

What is FUNdations?

Rwinters, what state are you in? Our assistant principal wants us to follow it exactly as the program lays it out. In the real world as an interventionist I can't pull each kid for 30 minutes plus 3 extra times for a daily dose. From what I have been doing it is really working and my kids enjoy it!

It is a phonics program by Wilson. I really love it but it requires a ton of extra time when trying to use it as a Tier 2 intervention.
