Teacher Language
Hi everyone!

Last year I found this great resource, teacher language cheat sheet. It broke down how to use teacher language in the classroom, in the hallway, etc.

Does anyone have this?

Thank you in advance!!

Send it here too!

I especially need to learn specific "responsive classroom" language. I didn't go to the training, but this is what our school uses.

One that I use that I think goes with RC is "learning partners". I try to praise my students to be good learning partners. In that way, I'm encouraging good behavior.

Im not sure if this is what you are looking for but I made this for my classroom.

It gives a list of different language to use for reminding, reinforcing and redirecting.

I put it on cardstock and laminated it and hung it up on my wall. I printed out the titles on page 4 in a different colour and then attached them to the top of the correct page.

After a while the words just become a part of your everyday vocabulary.

Hope someone can use it!

I have this one, but I LOVE RSquirrel's one. I think I'll change mine out. I have mine posted right above my desk, but RSquirrel's one is bigger & I'll see it more (& maybe use it more). Thanks for sharing it.

Thank you so much. We just finished a book study on this last week. I think your cheat sheat is better than any of our discussions

Thanks for sharing. Both are great and I shared them with other people in my building and they loved them. I am always asked where do I get such good ideas from and I say Proteacher.

Great resource!
What a fantastic resource! I blew each section of the cheat sheet up, put them on note cards, and laminated them. I put the note cards on a key ring and attach them around my belt loop each day so I can access the language throughout the day. I am a second year teacher and have a sweet, but difficult group of students. This helps me so much!!

Woo hoo!
Once again the beauty of collaboration... well more so sharing (I didn't really collaborate, but I get to reap the benefits)!

Thanks so much for sharing your resource, I love that we are redirecting students with questions as opposed to telling them the solution :)

Thanks again,
