Fluff vs. Diamonds
 

I just had to share this great video I found on Melissa Forney's new blog Teacher Spectacular (www.teacherspectacular.com). The video shows a demonstration that will help students add diamonds to their writing (details the reader can picture) instead of fluff becuase fluff doesn't hold up. Check it out:

You'll have to wait a bit for the video to load but I think it's worth watching. If you have Smart Boards in your classroom or Promethean boards, you can even show the video to your students as a mini-lesson. I hope you find it just as useful as I have. :)
