Picture Books
 

I know people have posted lists of books to use for each trait. I used 2 of those lists to go pick up some picture books from the library just today. I appreciate people who compiled and posted the lists, but I'm just thinking of a way we could help each other out as we plan for next year.

As soon as I read through the pic.books and decide how I'm going to use them, I'll post the title of a book and give a brief description of how I plan to use it. :confused:I'm wondering if others would be willing to do the same?

BTW, I posted my lesson plan chart for my lessons on Ideas and included the pic.books I plan to use. I'm working on Organization now.

What grade is your list for?

Besides Writing fix, Fargo Six Traits has tons of books and lesson ideas for each trait. It's fantastic.

I posted my lesson plan chart a thread (below) called "pacing chart help." My plans could be used for 4th or 5th.

A Bad Case of Stripes is the 4th gr. Ideas Trait Crate picture book. Nothing Ever Happens on 90th Street is the 5th gr. Ideas Trait Crate book. I know my students didn't have 6-Traits writing in 4th grade (2/3 of them were my students!) so I am using both books in my Ideas lesson plans for my 5th graders.
