Suggestions on First Grade Writing Curriculum??
 

I'm looking for suggestions on good writing curriculums for first grade. My school has taught Lucy Caulkins writier's workshop for the past several years, but we have realized that students were severely lacking in attending to conventions, spelling, and general neatness. The writer's workshop format was too free-form. Does anyone have a curriculum that they really love and that targets these skills (conventions, spelling, along with neatness) along with teaching students how to think and become good writers?
