System 44
Has anyone used this before? Our school just bought it last year, and I went to the 1-day training on it. It looks like a great program for our intervention students, but I'd love to hear what you like/dislike about it and any tips that may help me.
I brought home the box of materials to go through, so I'll start on that in July (I'm decompressing in June :D). Thanks!!! :) |
No I have never heard of this but I'll do a bit of digging and get back to you. We are piloting LLI for 2nd grade only so I will be digging into that when it comes.

As normal, I'm late. I used to teach in a System 44/Read 180 school. I felt that they were good programs, even though I didn't teach the classes. I felt that it was beneficial.

I was a System 44 trainer!
I was a trainer for System 44 a couple years ago. Go you know if you have the newest version (Universal) or the prior version called "Next Generation"?
I would say the biggest thing is to get the students used to the center rotations. Once they are rotating quickly, you get much more time out of the small group portion. Also, embrace and love the reporting components. I love how I can drill down and see what each individual student is doing and the progress they have made or the areas they are struggling. Something that is silly, but makes a HUGE difference. Set your room up so that students are rotating around the room in a circle. It makes the transition time much smoother :) |
