Suggestions for Title Fund Purchases
My school is receiving thousands of dollars towards Title supplies for my classroom. I teach reading & math interventions, fine motor skills, behavior coaching, and goal setting. What are your favorite intervention curriculums or supplies?

If you are not Orton Gillingham trained, I would suggest training. I did the week long IMSE Comprehensive Training. It was immediately applicable. IMSE uses Recipe for Reading as it's scope and sequence, so if you did that training, you might also want to purchase some of their materials.

I am a reading specialist so only can speak for reading, but if you have to buy materials for your room I'd purchase decodables, letter magnets, individual white boards and markers, other manipulatives that you might use with students.

If you are using title funds for building projects, I'd purchase books for book events/giveaways or look at something like One Book, One School.

That is great!
I suggest you post your question to the BusyBoard since that gets much more traffic than this board. The thread before this is from August.

You might also post to boards for your grade levels covered.

I am always in favor of buying leveled books for students that address science, social studies, and math--two birds with one stone. <!--giggle-->

You might also want to look at some of the support books for teachers with why to teach different ways as well as how to teach. Heinemann is my favorite publishers for those books. You could use them to inform your interventions as well as to share with teachers who are strong enough to ask for support.

Leveled literacy intervention for reading. The books are very engaging and get the most reluctant readers interested. I also like the focus of higher level thinking.
