Booster shot
I had the Moderna vaccine in March and got the Pfizer booster yesterday afternoon. Was so hoping it wouldnít knock me flat like the second Moderna did.

Itís not quite as bad but after taking a long nap Iím looking forward to waking up tomorrow and feeling better.

I would 1,000% do it all over again. Iíve seen people close to me very sick, one had an unvaccinated sister (in her 40s) on a ventilator. Iíve had numerous friends and acquaintances who have lost loved ones due to contracting Covid. Except for A niece and her family my close family members are vaccinated. I also know someone who is vaccinated and has lung issues get a break-through case and he is recovered.

Anyway. Glad to have the booster.

Is there some reason you chose Pfizer for your booster rather than Moderna? Availability?

Hope you feel 100% soon.

Yes, I'm glad to be boosted, too. I originally had the Pfizer, but I got the Moderna booster. I only had a sore arm and a slight headache as side effects.

I ended up getting the booster the day I heard on the news that Moderna would have a booster and they could be mix and match. I would have waited to get the Moderna booster and mentioned something to the tech, but he said, "oh, it'll take a long time to get those going" ;)

I'm glad you're not quite as bad! My booster really got me for a day.

Glad you got the boost and are feeling ok. I also got my boost a couple weeks ago and it knocked me down for about 48 hours. I was exhausted and very achy and my arm was a bit sore at injection site but not nearly as bad as shot #2.

I had Moderna for all three injections and the second one knocked me down for a day. I was a bit hesitant about the third but knew I had to do it for myself as well as others around me. I hope you are feeling 100% very soon !

I got soooo sick. Aches and a pretty high fever. It’s 1:30 am and I came down to eat something. My fever broke thank heavens. I got really sick with my second vaccine and my husband read you’d probably have the same reaction with the booster. My husband just has a sore arm. I just wanted a booster and that was what was offered but I’ve heard that mixing them may provide a wider immunity. I know the virus won’t go away, but I’ll be glad when we’re truly on the downslope of it.

I only felt a bit lightheaded after my booster. I took the next day off and took it easy. Glad I got it!

I get my
Moderna booster tomorrow. A drive thru appointment. I had reaction to my first vaccine but not my 2nd. I am hoping the booster won't wreck the day, but am Responsible and care about myself and everyone.

Totally agreeÖ
I had the Moderna vaccine back in the winter and had the booster (Moderna) Thursday morning. I had aches and extreme tiredness with shot #2 and was hoping for less this time since the booster is a half dose.

No such luck. For about 24 hours, it was the same reaction. I too would opt to do it again. I am glad itís behind me.

Interestingly, my doctor tested my antibodies from the vaccine in September. The numbers were high, so he told me to hold off on the booster and we would check again at my physical. I did until the recommendations changed, the numbers of cases are rising, and my best friend is immunocompromised. Now the CDC is recommending it for just about all adults, so I am glad I made the choice I did. Be well.

I got mine After school Friday.
My original was Moderna and my Booster was Moderna-- From what my DH was told, the booster is just a half dose of the orignal shot.

Originally, in Feb/March, DH was a little sick after and I was less so. This seems to be following that route as well. I had a few chills/fever that night, some muscle stiffness at the site, and now a slight headache with dizzyness. More than either of the first two but less than DH's reaction.
