SmartBoard flickering

My SmartBoard is flickering. You can still see and read it, but it has a definite flicker that is annoying (and worrisome!) I tried blowing the dust out with compressed air and cleaning the filters thinking that the fan might have been off-balance but it didn't help.

Anybody have any idea what could be wrong and how I could fix it?

Thank you so much!

Thank you so much!

Thank you for all that great information! It NEVER crossed my mind that flickering could be a settings issue. I was trying not to assume the worst and think that my SmartBoard was dying. It would NEVER get replaced this budget year or next for that matter. I'll get in tomorrow and check those settings. Thank you again!

Another possibility might be the bulb in your projector. I've heard that it might flicker when it is about to go out.

Thanks, Caroltn41

Thank you. I wondered about the bulb, too. I sure hope not! I heard they are pretty expensive and our district is already down to bare bones. You can't get a dime for ANYTHING.

Software checked, d__ee!

:( Apparently, my SmartBoard needs to have new software PURCHASED before I can update it anymore. Such a bummer. It did a minor update so it is a little better. But, ugh. No money and no staff to install it in a reasonable amount of time even if I bought it myself. Penny-wise and pound-foolish, as they say, is the standard in my district these days. Thank you again for your help!
