Mental health day anyone?

I took a half-day today (afternoon) so I could just make phone calls, take care of a couple house things, etc. Got home from work around 1:00 and it's almost 4:30 now. I have:
- set up an online account to get college transcripts for my upcoming teaching license renewal
- made 3 doctor appointments after having to get referrals arranged for 2 of them
- folded and put away 3 loads of laundry
- pulled out all my long pants and put away the shorts and capris
- watched an episode of Criminal Minds because the BAU can't do it without me <!--giggle-->

Next up:
- make biscuits to go with our Brunswick stew dinner tonight
- sort through a couple boxes of old papers- Shred party!
- relax with DH when he's off work
- go to bed at a decent hour and hopefully get some sleep

It sounds like it was a great idea to take the afternoon off! You have been very productive and will get to bed at a decent hour to boot - plus some evening relaxation! Mental health day indeed!

I think that I took a mental health day the first week of November every year for at least ten years before I retired. It always seemed like that was when I needed to catch up on the same kinds of things that you did. Now enjoy being relaxed and ready for the rest of the week.
