Craft Foam Art Prints
1 Attachment(s)
We've been working on print-making in art. This week we did a project that went very well.
We used craft foam with an adhesive back. I cut some into rectangles and triangles. The students could modify the pieces of foam in any way. Then they moved around the pieces to form their images. When satisfied with the arrangement, the students stuck the pieces down onto their work tray. The work trays were the lids to Rubbermaid plastic boxes. The students applied ink (in this case it was just tempra that they applied with a roller). Then they smoothed a piece of paper over the inked image. They were required to make a minimum of two prints. They could make more if they wished. At the end of class, the students peeled the craft foam off their work spaces and washed the lids. |
