polka dotty room
My class this year is polka dots with this color bulletin board paper. This is what I have so far in addition to matching border. What other color can I have? Do I do lanterns in the blue? TIAhttps://tse3.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.M...=0&w=182&h=169https://tse3.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.M...=0&w=203&h=162

Orange or Pink
polka dotted lanterns would be pretty as well! I am still trying to decide on a theme. Can't wait to see your room!!

Paper Lanterns
I buy my lanterns at the local dollar store called the Dollar Tree. Throughout the year, they will have thematic themes including polka dots. I buy and save because the price is right! The choices vary from store to store. Check your local dollar store because online you have to buy a case. :(

Thanks for the feedback. I'll check Dollar Tree at a store - I certainly don't need a whole case. I'll post pictures when I get in my room!

Can't wait to see the end results! I wish the Fire Marshall would allow us to hang things. I've wanted lanterns for a while now.

Becca4 - technically we are not allowed either but we can get away with it as long as it's not too much!!

I have done my room in blue with white polka dots. I have white background bulletin boards with scalloped border. I also used ribbon as a border, twist and turned it for a unique spin. All letters are blue polka dots, I will even make tem by using blue paper and gluing dots to them. I have 14in wooden letters to spell out READ of course painted blue with white dots. Bought plastic containers from dollar tree added white sticky dots. I love my room. Gender friendly. I thought I had more pics but I guess I deleted

Target Dollar Bins
I'm a huge fan of Target's Dollar(ish) bins by the entrance. I'm a sucker if it's under $3. I generally like colors and patterns vs a specific theme. I love polka dots and stripes. I find that I can add to this year after year building on what I have. Last year I added a paisley polka dot look to my room.
