Job description for District Spokesperson

Our district spokesperson is retiring in December. I emailed our superintendent and asked about the job. I never thought in a million year I would get a reply. Well, he asked when he could come to my school and visit with me about this position. What are the qualifications for a district spokesperson? Should I tell my principal why the supt. is coming over to visit me at the building? I really don't know what to prepare for this conversation. I have taught for 32 years. 8 years in the district that I am currently teaching. I am trying to decide whether I should retire or not. I am not ready to quit working so I thought maybe a different job in the district. Please advise.

I don't have an answer but I have used google to find job descriptions when helping my nieces with resumes. Look under School District Spokersperson.
Good Luck with the job interview.

I'm not sure about the job description, but in terms of if you should tell you principal, I would. I think it is good to keep him/her in the loop. However, that is coming from someone who has a VERY supportive and AWESOME principal. He'd be okay with it and would encourage me...but I don't know your principal!
