famous person report

I was wondering if anyone had a creative report format or something they would be willing to share concerning a famous person report?

I did this project with my kiddo's for my biography unit. One of the teacher's created a person template- so all were the same, however, I let mine be diverse.
It was a fun activity- and the kids loved presenting them. They are now on display in the library, with the corresponding library book next to them.

My students do President Box Reports. They are given a president to "research". There report goes into a shoe box. The report itself is items (drawings, cut outs, objects) that help describe the president. For example, if the president had a pet dog .. they could put a picture of a dog from a magazine, drawing, or photo of there dog.

timelines

We researched famous people and then created a timeline of their lives. The kids got to find pictures of their person on the Internet and include that on their timeline.

Great Ideas!

I love these ideas and want to try some with my class. Where do the kids get the info. I am having trouble finding biographies at their level? Any suggestions? What do you do with low low readers or students that have no or little parent support?
