6 Traits for Dummies
 

LOL Is there such a book? I am really trying to dig into this and have other resource books but I just can't seem to sink my teeth into how to teach these traits on a daily basis.

I also use Daily 5 but need to teach the Traits during our Writer's Workshop time.

Any help or references to previous threads would be greatly appreciated :)

Honestly- the best money spent was attending a 2 day workshop on the 6 Traits. In our area we had a trainer who gave us TONS of lessons to do to teach the different traits. You can also find lots of information on ##########.com

I'd start with ideas and move from there. Utilize mentor texts....print up student rubrics and have the kids grade the mentor text to see if they are similar or not.
