need election resource (5th grade)
I'm looking for a reading and/or activity that will explain Presidential elections. (I admit I don't understand the electoral college and that whole mess.)
I know of a good unit on TPT, but it is a week-long at least. I'm looking for a one-lesson (45 minutes?) activity I can do with my students. I know, one activity is tough, but I only see my students in-person 2 days a week. I don't have the time (or energy/patience to deal with this whole dumpster of an election year....). Do you have any resources/links/great TPT products? Thank you! |
Sent you a PM

Lesson
Luvmycat, could you send me the lesson/activity you PMed Tia? I'm curious! Something that lasts one day is awesome!

I would like it also. TIA.

You might try Read Think .org
I think it's free & there are various levels of readability. |
There are several great articles at Scholastic News. You don’t need a subscription to access. They have one on the electoral college and one specifically about the presidential race.

Articles or activities?
Was what you sent to Tia those articles? Or did you have activities, too?
|
That is what I sent her.
