Question about tb test

Are tb tests still done? I remember getting them every other year.

Keltikmom 12-11-2020 08:07 AM

To tests

I know when I was teaching I would get a reminder from DO that it was time for a test. But I think it was every 4 years??

I'm pretty sure ours was every four years.

Wow!!

I had a TB test my first year of teaching.

That was 41 years ago...and haven't had one since.

I remember when they were done yearly.

When I moved, you had to have 1 when hired. Then you just had to get a physical every so many years. The dr never did the TB tine??? test again though.

TB Test

State required TB test for Day Care Providers but it has been many years since I closed my day care. Never had them as a teacher but I worked in private schools. Less Rules-Less Benefits<!--giggle-->

DH at them randomly while working for the health dept. It may have been when a positive case was detected in one of the regular clients.

It depends on the state

Texas and Oklahoma tested everything year last I knew. At least most schools did.

I don't know if they have them or not. I have had one in the recent past, a few years ago. I remember when I worked in a nursing home as a weekend receptionist [2002-2003] I had to have a test every year.
