new to middle school math/science

Hi Everyone!

I am moving from 2nd grade to Middle School math and science (6,7,8th grade). I was wondering if there were any resources you can recommend for either one of these subjects. I was also thinking about joining NCTM and/or NSTA...anyone have experience with either one?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

I really enjoy their magazine Science Scope. They have good articles, books (cheaper for members), and netlinks that can tie into your lessons.

What state? You are going to be a very busy person with all those preps. Check out the other post about a new science teacher. Hopefully we can all keep in touch and share resources. :)
