Music for transitions

I would like to try using music for transitions, to help minimize the amount of verbal instructions I give. How do you make this work? It would need to be convenient. I don't want to be fumbling to find the song to play. Should I play the same song for every transition and expect students to know by the time of day what they will be doing, or should I choose different songs specific for the type of transition?
Transition 1 would be going from their seats to the carpet
Transition 2 would be going from their carpet spot to their seats
Transition 3 would be center rotation
Transition 4 would be lining up to leave the classroom

Thanks!

I would just start with one musical transition at first. Get your kids used to it and see how it works. Then gradually add one more transition at a time if it works for you.

As for music, I have an old iPhone that I no longer use but it has music downloaded on it. I use it like an iPod and pair it up with a cheap wireless speaker. If I were really, really good at sticking to a schedule, I'd just use the alarm feature and use my chosen song as the alarm sound. Then it would just play automatically when I needed it to.

The suggestion to start with one transition sounds like a good idea. Suddenly this doesn't sound overwhelming. I love the alarm idea. I think I will.start with the line up to leave the room transition since we do that at set times and I have been known to forget the time. Thanks for the advice.
