Intro message- please help!
The Editor would like to send an intro message to all members who identify themselves as school counselors, school psychologists, or social workers. It can also be linked from the home board and included in a newsletter.
The Editor asked us to draft it. Here is an example of what was used for the new Creative Outlet board: Quote:
Schools educate children, but they do so much more than that. Schools serve the "whole child," which includes meeting their mental health needs. Mental health work is so important, but mental health providers in schools often work in isolation and the job can be emotionally draining. If you work in the area of school mental health, please join us on the School Mental Health board, where you can find support and advice! Everyone is welcome! If you work in this field, or are interested in school mental health, please stop by. Ok, that is lame, but it was the first thing to come out of my head. Please feel free to edit/adjust :) |
intro message
I think it looks good! It opens it up to people who already work in the field but also encourages others to contribute. I can see teachers posing questions if they have a student who they are concerned about.

Thanks for the feedback, eeza :)

I agree it opens the door for many. If you have a teacher that works in a school without a counselor, social worker, or school psych they may be thankful for opinions. I know that many schools in our areas are cutting these positions first with budget woes.

Thanks cardnial!
I'll see if anyone has any other comments/constructive criticism, and if there isn't, I'll send it to the Editor! |
