Developmentally Delayed School
What is that, exactly?

I would assume a school for students with the global developmental delay, but I'm not familiar with the term. We call it a School for Specific Purpose.

I’m asking because I thought I wanted the hell out of sped, but I got a call from the school I applied at. She was naming off the resources they offered, and it sounds like it’d be a lot better than my current situation. It would be for 1st/2nd grade.

She said they were a DD school. So, I’m not sure if I’d have some DD kids or I’d they’d all be on another teacher’s caseload?

I’m not one of the special people who are good at working with DD kids. :(

If it is a school for students with developmental delays than those would be your students. If it is not a population you like to work with please (and it sounds like you want out of sped anyway) don't take the job. You would be miserable and it would be grossly unfair to those kids.
