Giving Thanks Themed Pic Books

I'm in the process of writing a Thanksgiving Unit. I'm thinking that in addition to reading books about the Pilgrims, I wanted to incorporate some books that show thankfulness. Does anyone have any ideas about books that show characters that are thankful for (and 1st graders would be able to explain why the character was thankful for)
-family (I was thinking maybe A Chair For My Mother by Williams?)
-friends
-freedom
-education (I was thinking of Thank You Mr. Falker?)
-all our immediate needs (food, shelter, clothes, etc)
If you have any suggestions I would love to hear it! My goal is for my students to really consider all that they have to be thankful for....and why.

Thanks!

One is a Feast for a Mouse by Judy Cox is a book about being thankful for the food you have and not being greedy. The Thanksgiving Door by Debby Atwell depicts a diverse community and coming together to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

Lily and the Paper Man

This is a great book by Rebecca Upjohn about a little girl who is afraid of the Paper Man in her neighbourhood. However, when she really looks at him, she sees he has no socks and holes in his coat - she decides to help him and collects things from her family and neighbours to help keep him warm. She does talk about being thankful for her home and being warm etc. It really is a great book and story - good for older students for inferring etc, but still really good for the little ones too.
