need a group poem to recite

I'm doing a poetry recital with my 4th graders and I'd love to have them recite a poem as a group. Do you have any ideas of a great poem to use?
I have 15 kids, four are ELL. I would like one easy one as some parents are also low in English and one harder one for the parents who have English as their mother tongue.
Ideas????

My Favorite

poetry book to use with my third graders are a series called, You Read To Me, I'll Read To You, by Mary Ann Hoberman.

The poems are designed for two voices. Maybe you could have the students pair up to perform several poems. They are easy and fairly short.

Or maybe you could revise one of your favorites to be read by two groups of people, rather than two people.

There is the original book. I would try that one first. Then there is a scary tale, nursery rhymes (fractured and very cute) and a a fairy tale version. Each book has about 10 to 12 poems.

My students love reading these poems because they are humorous and playful. We add simple costumes, props and movements for more dramatic effect.

Good luck finding the perfect poetry.

Shout!

I think the book is called Shout! The first poem in the book goes something like this..."Shout it, shout it poetry, Fun for you and fun for me..." It's about a dozen lines long. I'm not at school, so I don't have the author's name.
