People are idiots
Especially when they are behind the wheel of a car.

Yes, I know calling people idiots isn't very nice. That's why I say it here instead of to their faces<!--giggle-->

kahluablast 09-04-2019 04:30 AM

That is when I see the most idiots; when I am behind the wheel of a car. Sometimes even f'ing idiots. <!--giggle-->

In my city, itís not just those behind a wheel that are idiots. We also have bike riding and pedestrian idiots who dart in front of moving vehicles. We often have pedestrians running across or walking along the freeway because it is the quickest route from point A to B.

Many accidents happen every day. Just yesterday a young boy was killed by riding his bike quickly on the sidewalk and being hit by a car exiting a fast food restaurant.

Drive cautiously, everyone! Be safe!

People are idiots
Oh, I donít think these people are just in cars.....see my post about way too peopley.

dutchgirl 09-04-2019 06:03 AM

Yup. You reminded me of a quote:

'Don't engage with idiots. You won't change their minds and you will just get frustrated trying.'

My dad often used to say "eee-dee-ote!" while driving. Now I understand why!

stephenPE 09-04-2019 09:01 AM

I live IN the woods. I was coming over a hill and this***** was in the middle of the road coming at me. And DMMMD if another one did it the next time I topped that hill.
My dad used to use colorful language. I was about 3 I guess when we were in the car with grandma (his mom) Some idiot drive did something and I said "he is a bstrdd isnt he daddy" My grandmother was apoplectic. Dad used that word for idiot drivers and I had picked up on it.

My name is
Coopsgrammy - and I am an idiot behind the wheel. Never on purpose, it just comes naturally. <!--giggle--> Lets just say I apologize a lot!

In my defense, I hate driving - especially in traffic. I am usually a fairly good driver - but I distract easily and sometimes forget to press on the gas pedal...
I avoid left hand turns, and rush hour.

Yes, I am comic relief for my children.

I came to that realization
when my DH drove me and our DGS into NYC through the Lincoln Tunnel and into Manhattan. Cars honking horns, cutting from lane to lane, and even watching tractor trailers drive over curbs to get into the lane they thought was moving faster. It had me muttering "people are idiots" for the hour and a half it took to drive in and drive back.

DH thank goodness is unflappable. Just stayed calm and kept driving.

I 1000% agree with you! And the bike riders are even worse. If you want to be treated like a car, then follow the rules of a car!

ICrazyTeach 09-04-2019 04:56 PM

Oh the bikes drive me crazy!!

And since I complained about idiots today...this idiot kept trying to use her turn signal and instead flashed her lights at everyone this evening:rolleyes: I'm tired. I need sleep.

If your city doesn't have them yet...
The biggest idiots are electric scooter renters!

No helmets
two on one scooter
exceeding a safe speed while they wobble around with no balance
riding illegally on sidewalks
riding the wrong way on a one-way street
running red lights
and the list goes on...

We've actually had cases where these idiots died!
