help please-childrens book

I am a student teacher. My assignment is to make a childrens book using actual pictures that I take myself. The book is to be geared toward beginning readers. I need at least 8 pictures, with a sentence to go along with each pic. My question is, do any of you have any good ideas for the subject of this book? Im having a hard time thinking of something that would be interesting to children that I could actually go and take pictures of easily. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!!!!

What about the community or city that you live/student teach in?

You could do a number book. Take pictures of different fruits. For example,
One pineapple is very sweet to eat.
Two apples make a wonderful treat.
Three pears would be hard to beat
Four strawberries dipped in chocolate would taste so sweet
Five kiwi would be really neat
Etc.

Or Something like:
One little bird sitting in the tree
Two little birds join the first and that makes three
Three little birds singing pretty songs
Along comes another and decides it belongs
Four little birds are happy to be alive
One more joins them and now there are five
Etc.
You can get little toy birds.

Take your camera and find things for each letter of the alphabet...like a bend in a tree (V) or rocks that look like a letter. It is really fun to do and if you stop and look hard enough you can see letters - just takes a creative mind.

I also think this sounds like a great idea - the making of the book I mean! :)

You could do a Who am I? book with clues on one page and the picture on the back?

Telling time book

My daughter wanted to make a book around the time she was learning the concept of time....I took pictures of her doing various activities throughout the day (brushing teeth, getting on the bus, eating dinner, doing homework,etc.). On each page we wrote "At ___o'clock I ___________. You could do this with your school day and take pics of the kiddies at their various activities.

I did one like 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the bed but used children instead. I took pictures of 10 preschoolers jumping (pretending) and laminated them. I used magnets on the back. The book background has a large bed with 10 magnets and the story is written on short pages at the bottom of the background. At the start of the book all 10 children are on the bed and then one falls off on each page so they take one child off the bed and put it on the page below. At he end all children have fallen off the bed. The kids loved it.

10 Little Indians is another easy one I made. You take pictures of the kids with an indian head band on. And the pages go 1 little, 2 little, 3 little . . . and this time they take the pictures from the bottom and place them up top on the books background. Again the story part is only 3 or 4 inches and is stapled to the bottom of the background.
