Icivics

Icivics.org has a wealth of free resources. Games, curriculum units, and more.

Iím not sure what grade you are teaching or the specific content, but Studies Weekly has K-6 content in both print and digital formats. I used the 6th grade social studies weeklies which aligned perfectly with our ancient civilizations standards. My students used the printed weekly reader magazine and all the on-line content.

readworks.org- they have all kinds of social studies reading passages that I've used for years. They also have article a day sets that help build an abundance of background knowledge.
