Yeah, I went a little shirt crazy......

In my quest to be different on Casual Fridays, I ended up making three different shirts and ordering them from zazzle.com. I left them as public in case anyone is interested. Last time I didn't post the url because I thought I'd get in trouble, but I'm going to this time. I had a bit of a problem keeping up with PMs sent my way requesting it.

So, the link below shows all of the shirts I designed. I also put the designs on cups so I could order them later as Christmas gifts for my colleagues. Basically, by putting my designs out there for zazzle to sell, I get a discount on what I buy which is cool.

You can put the designs on any kind/color of shirt you want. Just click the "Customize It" button when you select a design.

If anyone wants a shirt designed just for them, let me know. I'll be happy to do it for you. As I've said before, graphics work is my stress relieving hobby.

Love them...

...but, seeing as how they wouldn't allow me to put "Special Education" as my title on my name badge, I don't think they would let me wear that to my school. Weird huh?

Yeah, I didn't think of that. Hmmmmm....I may be in for some trouble myself. I sent that same link to every special educator in the district. I'll probably get a nice email from the head honcho today I suspect.

When I started teaching we were special education. Then it changed to special needs. Now we're student support services.

Thanks. Here's the url to see everything I've made over the years.

Special Ed

Nice designs!
Now for my question - We are no longer Special Education Teachers :confused:

That's news to me. I have never heard the term "Student Support Services" in regards to special ed.
In my school, Student Support Services is the in-school suspension room!

LOL! THAT is hilarious, but yeah, that's what we call it. They also changed the terms for our classrooms. We used to be "self-contained", and now we have to say we're "instructional".

news to me as well

Luckily, ALL Special Education teachers in my district are Special Education teachers. No matter what program we are in. The programs have different names. This changing names thing is ridiculous and I would refuse to go by the other names.

Aren't all classrooms instructional?

Heidi5772 07-07-2010 07:50 PM

Really?

In Florida it is ESE (Exceptional Student Education) - go figure...

Misleading Titles & Confusing Too!

In NC it is considered Exceptional Children's Program. When we are referred to by the principal as the EC staff, new people are confused. Even parents are not into the changing titles..they refer to us and their children as the special ed class or the sp. ed teachers. Now our individual class titles are changing as well as the student identification ( TMD 10 years ago, & nown the term is Moderate Intellectual Deficit ! I agree go figure <!--eyebrow-->

We are still special education in my district but it's not on our badges and in the year book we are not sdc but multi grade classrooms....has to do with confidential stuff everything is a law suit waiting to happen it seems :-(
