Help - Demo Lesson on Poetry next week!
 

I was hoping someone might be able to help me. I have a demo lesson on Tuesday in a 2nd grade classroom of 24 students. The principal wants a 40-minute writing lesson on a topic that the teacher has not previously taught. We came up with poetry, because the teacher has "not taught a single thing" about poetry. I am a first-year 3rd grade teacher in a different district, where 35 teachers were laid off two weeks ago. So...needless to say, I really want this job. The classroom I will be doing the lesson in does have a SMARTboard. I am wondering if perhaps they might want to see my ability to integrate technology too. I am very excited/nervous. There will be six members of the interview committee evaluating the lesson!
