Teaching in Maryland

Does anyone know how the job market is in Frederick, MD for elementary school teachers?

Not sure

I worked about an hour outside of Frederick MD for a while, and there were always jobs in my district. I would check out some of the school websites from that area and see if they have employment opportunities posted or check their turnover rate.

Being that it is a large area, I would imagine there'd be jobs available, but if you could contact some of the schools somehow, that'd be beneficial. :)

Jobs in Maryland,

Check with the County School board, you can register early to get in the job pool. And also check with the surrounding counties' school boards. Two years ago, I lived in Severn, MD about an hour away from Frederick and there were always jobs available, especially for elementary school teachers. You can also check with the local chamber of commerce to get a listing of nearby schools and school districts.

I am in Fairfax County, VA which is about an hour south of Frederick. There are always a lot of elementary teacher jobs down this way if you are willing to go a little bit more south.
