Lego theme

Alternatives to timed fact tests

Looking for some ideas to help with addition fact fluency. We have done timed - 25 prob in 1 minute fact tests - interested to see what works for you. Thanks much for your help

Fall project night

Pencil sharpeners

What electric pencil sharpeners can you recommend that work well in a classroom? I have had it with sharpening and all I get is a sharp stick of wood at the end! Or, I sharpen and the lead breaks...

Fact game

My class likes to play a version of 7-up game. Before they can guess who pushed their thumb down, they answer a math fact question. We also play it with spelling words.

Vocabulary. Assessments

Safe but ugly

Visit from the fire marshall today. All background bulletin board paper must come down. We can still put up artwork but no background paper. Hallways won't be as inviting, but we will make it work.

Cookbook
