switching classes research?

Can you steer me toward some of the research you found? My school wants all kids (K-5) to switch and have homogeneously grouped classes for an hour of the day. Many of us ( I'm gr. 1) are horrified,...

After you've tried all of the "fuzzy" stuff and have made sure the child is OK, IGNORE!!! Receiving attention for that is not a good thing!

Guided Groups

I MUCH prefer stick on labels - the stringed one tend to be a huge distractor! New labels each day are easy! I have pretty ones but also use plain white pkg labels.

I've never had one - I've tried a few times for a semi-theme. It never seems to pan out - Seasonal stuff is much easier!

My response is always "What do you think?" They need a bit of coaching to get used to it (What sound do you hear first... next?...), but once they do, they're generally very comfortable with it.
