I agree!

I am honestly afraid something bad will happen one day with kids crossing the streets without looking or running around unsupervised. Too many people think our town is like Mayberry from the 1950's.

Good ideas!

I don't think any businesses in town do these measures posted. It would offend the parents who spend a lot of money there!!

They need bouncers!

We did have a candy shop in town that had a teacher come in after school to help with crowd control. He was a guy that the kids liked so they responded well. When I am off campus I don't want to...

Maybe a vent, maybe a NUNYA..

This may be a NUNYA business kind of thing for teachers, but anyway....

Too late for disability insurance.

Since I already have a diagnosis I would not be eligible to purchase disability insurance. The rep for the company said I would be better off just retiring in the case that I need to leave. I have...

This might be my last year. Mixed feelings.

This is my 28th year and I am 48. I was eligible at 25, but chose to continue on so that taking a lump sum option is possible if needed. Year 28 has always been the magic number for me. Well, this...

Dreading it

I have been dreading it since I learned of these when I was probably a college student. I am 48. I would rather go to the OB/GYN and that is saying a lot!!

Best advice I was given

My DH told me once, "Don't let a 12 year old ruin your day." That was back when we were newlyweds and he was 23. I was early in my teaching career and so frustrated that I wanted to quit.

Only if it had indoor plumbing! I do think they could be fun if you have resources to make it comfy and cute. In reality it's just one more space to have to clean up.

I have a loft in my home...

I saw it today in Memphis.

I really enjoyed it, but my college age kids listened to the soundtrack a lot in recent years. My DD19 saw it in Chicago a year ago and said it had a different feel than today's show.

She has a...

My grands and parents used to eat this. I never thought it looked appetizing so I never tried it. My grands were farmers in Mississippi.

Did you go to the Hoop Dee Do Review at Ft. Wilderness? That is a fun, family friendly dinner show. It's pricey, but something great to do at least 1 time with your family.

My college age kids live at home for now.

I had NO choice when I was in college. Money was just too tight. I would have loved to have an apt. Now in our same town there are so many apartment options and the dorms are much nicer.

My son...

I like the idea of virtual field trips!! I thought about making the time Genius Hour--kinda, but I am gonna do that in my classes, too. I don't want to overdo GH.
