Great Sponge Activity or Bellringer
If you're familiar with the game Boggle, you'll enjoy using these pencil and paper versions with your students. Boggle is a word search game without an established list of words; students simply list...

Love These!
Definitely a throw back to the day when teachers freely shared.
Here is a poster set I developed for figurative language, aimed at the middle and high school grades.
Enjoy and feel free to...

Wish I could!
I go to every single one I can in my area. You should check to see if they have a hashtag for Twitter, and then connect with folks there.

Thanks, vttraveler!
All of these are great suggestions! I will investigate further. The fort is already on our radar, but the island sounds way cool.

Lake George Attractions
I'm the head of a teen travel program and we're hoping to visit Lake George in Summer 2018. Anyone know the area and want to recommend any "hidden treasures" that we might otherwise miss? Any venues...

Lots of Great Suggestions!
I taught grade three for 9 years, grade four for 11 years, and grade 6 ELA for the past 8 years, and this is a common problem.

Scholastic Book Wizard
allows you to search like you described (somewhat). Personally I'm using Amazon more and more to find titles related by genre, theme, etc. Definitely works better than any library search feature.

Did your students read the book?
I'm going slightly off topic here by not answering the question posed in your thread, but most Holocaust education advocates dislike both this book and the movie for giving children the wrong idea...

Specifics and Exemplars!
My understanding is that many teacher eval systems have built-in teaching modules that administrators are supposed to assign for those teachers who need help in any area.
