Reading instruction

is very polarizing right now.

May I ask what the discrepancy is between your reading instruction and what the reading coach is suggesting?

So sorry this is happening to you. Coaches seem to...

I am sorry your coworkers are so nasty and rude. What they did was wrong and it is completely understandable why you are upset. People like that should not be in education.

I have had similar...

This is a great thread and

I appreciate Haley23 bringing this issue to the Vent Board.

I agree with Haley23 that cultures can pressure people to work beyond what they should. I would draw the line with giving up planning...

Thank you for your perspectives.

It helps me see that maybe what I consider bragging is not. I like FB mostly to keep up with friends and family. I absolutely love baby and kid pictures. I also love pet pictures.

I guess the...

Facebook has normalized bragging

I am not a huge FB user. I do like some things about it but I am annoyed how it has normalized what I grew up thinking was bragging or boasting.

People put things on FB that would seem obnoxious...

So sorry you are dealing with this.

I would question whether she is a "wonderful teacher" as you stated. Wonderful teachers are team players and do not just look out for themselves at the expense of others. She may have some talents in...

I usually have way more darks and colors than whites and do them in no particular...

I agree with

Game of Things.

It is much better than Cards Against Humanity and can be played as more of an adult game or with children.

I love Karin Slaughter

books. She has two series and some stand alone novels. They can be graphic but she is an amazing writer.
