I think Kali has made a good point. Picture books may be leaving libraries less frequently because so many are more appropriate for read to or read aloud. They are often written at a higher reading...

I work in a building with 7 literacy (Title One) ed techs(paras) and a literacy coach teacher. All lit techs have teaching degrees and most have masters but we work for half the pay that a teacher...
