In my state, for mastery on alternative assessments (special ed), mastery is 80%. But that's with the old frameworks. Not sure if that changes for Core.

That idea you posted was GREAT. It definitely is helpful for me. I'd been teaching the kids word by word, but I think phrases may be more helpful. When I finish what I'md oing, I may start this!
